Subway in Buenos Aires
Posted in Other on August 8th, 2006This morning, I took subway line B to go to take a tango class in Buenos Aires. When the train arrived, suddenly I saw some Chinese character on the train. I was quite surprised and tried to find out why. Then I found out that the train in fact was an old Japanese train made in 1961. That’s why the seat arrangement looked a bit familiar to me. I guess the Argentinian bought these second hand train from Japan and used them for the subway.
Well, these trains are not the oldest. If you go to take line A, then you can find some even older – trains with wooden seats and doors. I´m not a train expert so I don´t know how old exactly those trains are, but they look like the old wooden tram that we used to have in Hong Kong.
