I think there is a subtle balance of submission (to the lead, to the music) and of imposition (of style, of decorations, of timing) in perfect following. I also find I pour myself without retenue in every dance, giving my all to my partner and this moment. At times it can be dissapointing if it isn't reciprocated but when I reap what I sow, it's unbelievable. I agree to a certain extent with Royce.
