I saw this clip before! Yeah who is this guy? Is he good? What style are they dancing to? Anyway talking about clips, I found this fantastic (by my standards) clip on the web…. Tell me, do you think this guy is good?

Gavito was a very famous tango dancer who died this year. I saw him the first (and last) time when I was in Buenos Aires in January. He used pauses as an important part of his dance (they called him ‘Senor de pausa’). I like his kind of dancing very much.
Gavito was famous and Great. He was a show man. He went through all possible changes within tango dancing and interpretation, finally in the last years of his life he found Maria Plazaola and created together with her his own stile. I didn’t even watch this video but I bet he was dancing the Gavito stile. I was very lucky, I met him 1 year before he died. I had the unique opportunity of learning from him and Maria the way to feel and think tango. He said ‘tango is to be danced between a step and the following’ – he ment that just in the ‘silence’ of a pause one can really feel and be empathic with the partner, with music, with the dance floor, with himself.
